That’s what it is, right, when people murder randomly for no particular reason? How can we argue against it? There’s no one to argue with. Presumably the killers continue to believe in a reason for living… until they don’t — and by then it’s too late. But maybe we can make real those things that are worth living for. Nonsense, for example. I’ve never found it possible to be completely nonsensical, but I’ve always been glad to be alive when I try.
